LOOE has lived up to its expectations of being a lovely town with kind and friendly people. It has been an eventful year, with all the activities that we would expect, but which always seem to catch visitors unaware, some wonderful concerts, the Festival of the Sea, the Carnival Week, the national sailing championships, the overwhelming generosity of the town trusts, the Looe Valley Singers, the Polperro Fishermen's Choir and Sheila's School of Dance. I hesitate to name too many organisations in the fear that I might offend others, but I cannot let the efforts of the Looe in Bloom and the Christmas Lights teams go without mention. They have done a fantastic job in brightening up the town during the year and my thanks, and I'm sure the thanks of all, go out to them. Our thanks also go to the emergency services, the Fire service, RNLI, Coastguard, Police, Ambulance, mostly volunteers for all that they do to keep us and our visitors safe We now look forward to an even more successful 2005, Pat and I wish you all a peaceful and prosperous year, and extend our very best wishes to you all.
