PICTURE postcards, photographs, and items evoking memories of past holidays in Looe are being sought by the East Looe Town Trust (ELTT) for a new exhibition. The trust would like to create a new display entitled ‘Holidays in Looe’ and is asking locals and visitors to consider loaning their artefacts – or perhaps sharing their memories – over the next few months. ‘We are wondering if people have any old artefacts from past holidays, that we could use for a new display showing our visitors how Looe has changed over the years,’ said a museum spokesperson. ‘This could include old buckets and spades, bathing costumes, souvenir pottery, humorous postcards and photographs. ‘We are very keen to keep local interest in the museum, so if you have ideas, please share them with us.’ Anyone who can help should either contact Judy Martin by emailing [email protected] or by telephoning 01503 263709, or they can pop into the Guildhall in Fore Street, Looe.
