RESIDENTS have given a resounding ‘no’ to plans for more than 170 new homes on a hill on the outskirts of Looe.

Around 250 people went along to the Millpool Centre in the town to view proposals for the development.

And an informal exit poll taken by the independent Looe Strategy Group found that 230 were against the plans.
