Looe Trawler Race tomorrow (Saturday)
One of Looe's most popular events of the summer season, the annual Trawler Race, takes place in the bay tomorrow (Saturday), July 17, the boats being ready for the off by 10am. With competition amongst the fishermen keen, especially in the fancy dress category, this is a fun event for all the family and usually draws hundreds of spectators. On the quayside will be a bar , live band and barbecue, and all profits are for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen and other local charities.
