Fears for swans
A concerned Looe resident has contacted the police over her fears for the safety of the swans on the port's river. She has encountered on several occasions a number of youngsters throwing stones at the swans at the Polean end of Millpool, and is particularly concerned about one of the birds which seems to be targeted more than the others, because it is usually alone.
She is appealing for anyone who sees the swans being worried to contact the police as soon as possible.
'It is a disgrace that these youngsters have nothing better to do than to worry these wonderful creatures' she said.
