A Big Green party
for the children
HELP is being sought for the organisation of celebrations in Polperro for the Queen's Golden Jubilee, on Big Green, on June 3, for the children of the parish. A small group have met to discuss the possibilities of a street party. If anyone would like to join in and help or contribute in any way, the next meeting will be at the Village Hall on March 14 at 7.30pm. It is hoped the children will be given a day they will always remember.

Be a 'Friend'
EAST Looe Town Trust are inviting anyone interested to help form a 'Friends of the Wooldown' association. They say being a Friend would occasionally involve some light physical work.
A spokesperson said the idea is to involve the community in helping to maintain the Wooldown as an attractive amenity for everyone. For more information contact the Trust on 01503 263709.
Date correction
The open meeting of ELTT when members of the public are welcome to attend is to be held in the Council Chamber at the Guildhall, on Tuesday, March 12 at 7pm, and not on March 7 as inadvertently printed last week.
