THE next meeting of Looe, Polperro and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce is to be held on November 6 when a presentation will be given by website designers Harescombe Associates.

At the December meeting, members will be given the chance to see the Valley Links archive film and photographic exhibition, which has already run in Looe.

This is a celebration of the social and industrial links of Liskeard and Looe from the mines of Caradon Hill, through Liskeard and along the Looe Valley railway to Looe.

Choir sings for fund

POLPERRO Fishermen's Choir are to put on a concert at Looe Bay Holiday Park on November 21 - to raise money for the American Disaster fund. The choir are hoping to attract a large audience, and a number of high-profile guests for the occasion,.

Coffee morning

A COFFEE morning is being held at Looe Health Centre next month in aid of ACHE (Area Community Health Equipment). The event, which opens at l0am, will include a cake stall, Christmas gifts, and a raffle etc. Entry of 50p will include morning coffee and biscuits. The coffee morning will be held on November 9.

appeal

AN appeal has been lodged following a Caradon Council refusal of a plan for a site on land adjoining Greenways, Brentfields, Polperro.

The appeal is being dealt with by the written representation method. It has been lodged by A J C Properties Ltd. The plan was for construction of a detached bungalow with integral garage.

Hannafore

THE South East Cornwall Tourism Association (SECTA) are to hold their dinner at The Granary Restaurant, St Martin by Looe, on November 30.

They have also announced that the Caradon in Bloom awards will be held at the Hannafore Point Hotel, Looe on November 18, with the guest of honour being local MP, Colin Breed.
