LOOE is set for two days of St Piran’s Day celebrations, with live music, dancing and more taking place. The events, which are being organised by the Looe Old Cornwall Society (LOCS), will start on Friday, March 4, at the Rose Garden in East Looe. Local musicians will be encouraging everyone to join in with Cornish folk dancing from 11am, and there will be helpings of saffron cake, cider and fruit juice for participants. A sell-out concert and quiz on the day itself, Saturday, March 5, will be headlined by Looe band The Changing Room – winners of last year’s Pan Celtic Festival in Derry, Northern Ireland – supported by Polperro Fishermen’s Choir and the Bennett Family.
