FREE visits to the Looe Harbour Heritage Centre are being offered to celebrate the reopening of the historic Old Sardine Factory.
Timed, COVID-safe 30-minute bookings will be available from May 26, and two days of free slots will be offered in the first week – on Wednesday 26 and Saturday 29.
During the half term the popular Family Craft Activity Workshops will be back, where groups of six will be based at a table, socially distanced from others.
Emma Wilkinson, operations manager, said: “It’s been a long, dark winter and we are so pleased to be opening the Heritage Centre again for the summer season. We are setting up two days of free ‘timed slots’ to say to the people of Looe: spring is here, come down and say hello, see our exhibits and the stories of fisherfolk and the harbour, and enjoy being out again!
“Visitors can also now have a delicious cup of coffee and a cake when they visit, as we’re launching a brand new Heritage Centre Coffee Shop.”
The hour-long craft workshops, private 45-minute tours of the Heritage Centre for families and support bubbles, and the safe ‘timed slot’ tickets can all be booked at www.oldsardinefactoryheritagecentre.org
