CALLINGTON'S branch of NatWest bank has been picked out as the best in the country for customer care. The branch has beaten off strong competition from NatWest branches throughout the UK to be awarded the Customer Driven Branch Award, which is given by the bank to branches that deliver a quality service across a range of customer needs. Scores given by customers by means of a questionnaire determine the result, and the staff at Callington branch have come out on top. Chris Northey, Manager at NatWest's Callington branch, said: 'When you work so hard as a team to deliver a quality service, it's great to receive a national award from the bank, but it means so much more because it is our customers' comments that have put the branch in the top spot.' Diane Hesslewood, NatWest's Area Manager, Retail Banking, for North Cornwall, who visited the branch to present the team with their award, said: 'The most important point of this award is that the customers of the branch have told us that we deliver a service that meets and even exceeds their expectations. 'Customer comments are essential for the team here to develop their customer service skills further and to continue to delight their customers.'
