LISKEARD’S Tourist Information Centre (TIC) will be holding its first ever art exhibition to support a local artist whose usual venue is unavailable.

Oil painter Alan Kingwell will be exhibiting at the TIC in Pike Street. Included in the show will be Alan’s latest large seascape, depicting rocks off the Lizard.

The exhibition runs from tomorrow (Tuesday Sep 1) until September 12 and the TIC ’s opening hours are: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am – 12.30pm and 1-4pm, and Saturdays 10am – 1pm.

Alan said: ’This is the first time that the Tourist Information Centre in Liskeard has ever held an exhibition and they have kindly done this as my show in Stuart House has had to be cancelled for obvious reasons.’

While at the TIC visitors can also enjoy a browse through Cornwall’s largest collection of iconic toys from the past, which inlcudes James Bond’s Golden Gun and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This year the Daleks have invaded along with props and script from the Dr Who series.
