LOOE youth rock band Division will be opening an evening of live music in support of the town’s Lifeboat Appeal.
The Ollie Naismith Birthday Bash will take place on Friday (November 19) at the Globe Inn, celebrating what would have been Ollie’s birthday, and supporting local RNLI lifeboat crews to save lives at sea.
James Shead and Orpheus will also be playing at the event, which is being organised by Ollie’s dad John. Entry is free, with donations to collection buckets and a raffle on the evening encouraged.
The appeal for a replacement inshore lifeboat – the Ollie Naismith II – has so far raised £66k of its £78,000 The vessel, like its predecessor, will be named in memory of the popular Looe teenager, who lost his life in 2009.
