The home is planning events to celebrate this anniversary and would like anyone with memories and/or photos of the home through the years to get in touch.
John Rundle, Chair of the Eventide Management Committee, recently wrote the following letter for publication in the Cornish Times:
Dear Editor,
Eventide in Liskeard is a ‘Not for Profit’ care home. It is run by a volunteer management committee of local people. All the income (fees) are used towards the running costs, and therefore we believe that we are able to provide the best care possible for our residents.
This is a big year for us: like the Queen, it is our Platinum (70th) anniversary.
The home was set up in 1952 by a group of Liskeard business people, and is something of which the people of Liskeard should be very proud. We are planning several celebration events, COVID permitting, and would like the people of Liskeard to know our history and to get involved.
We would invite anyone with their personal memories, any old photographs, or any stories connected with Eventide to get in touch with us so that these can be included in our records.
