Two bids
for grants
LISKEARD town councillors have been told that two grant submissions for an audio system for the town's public hall, prepared by Nick Mallard, have been submitted.
One of the submissions is to the single regeneration budget for £13,000, and the other to the Foundation for Sports and Arts for £4,385. Liskeard Ladies choir had also contributed £10, which left £4,390 to be contributed from the town council to make up the total of £21,785.
The Mayor of Liskeard, Tony Powell, said if the figures for Foresters Hall remain the same this money should be available during the current financial year and, provided the grants are approved, this will be agreed.
At last Tuesday's full council meeting members heard that there had been no reply received yet regarding either bid.
