Liskeard Bowling Club stars Fran Turner and June Dunlop, playing for Cornwall, reached the quarter-finals of the National Pairs. They beat Sussex, Lancashire and Kent eventually losing to Nottinghamshire by only one shot as they enthralled the many club supporters who travelled to Royal Leamington Spa.
