LISKEARD and District Museum will be holding a special photographic exhibition starting on March 21 to April 19. It will examine at the scientific development of the process of photography from Fox Talbot's pioneering work in 1822 to modern imaging techniques. Photographs tell stories of life over time from the serious, well-dressed, perfectly poised and groomed portraits of the Victorian period through the processes of industrialisation, two world wars, several royal coronations and many changes in social and working lifestyles, through changes in architecture and fashion. It's science and social history. The museum is open between 11am and 4pm weekdays and from 11am to 1.30pm Saturdays.
