Liskeard mayor Christina Whitty and her husband Terry were guests at the Gorfenna Community Open Day.

The day gave people the chance to look around and was also an opportunity for prospective volunteers to meet the team.

Gorfenna offers a safe environment for those living with dementia or feeling lonely as well as a day service for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues or acquired brain injuries.

Anyone who would like to make use of Gorfenna’s services at St Ive or who would like to volunteer can find out more by visiting www.gorfennacommunity. co.uk or ringing 01579 384810 to arrange a visit.

See Cornish Times of Friday, August 17, for another picture from the event.
