Liskeard-Looe will be playing in the Cornwall and Devon League next season after beating Torrington in their promotion play-off game at Lux Park, 20 - 0.
They had to work very hard against their determined opponents from Devon Division One, and it was a bruising encounter – just a fortnight before Liskeard's EDF Energy Junior Vase final with Brighton at Twickenham.
But the Cornishmen emerged with the victory spoils, which is no more than they deserve after winning more matches than any other team in Cornwall Division One this season, and only ending up behind champions Stithians and St Austell on points difference.
It means three teams from the division have won promotion, showing how strong a league it has been. Liskeard-Looe head coach Chris Hocking said: 'I am pleased to get there.
'I was a bit annoyed with the boys that we got into the situation in the first place, but it is nice to secure promotion, and we can turn our focus to other things now.'
Hocking added: 'We finished the season with more wins than anyone else, but it is decided by points difference.

'But, at the end of the day, it is three teams from Cornwall going up into a higher league, which is good.'
It was a pretty dour game, and it took 30 minutes for Liskeard to get their first points on the board, with flanker Lewis Elliott driven over the line, and centre Baz Hocking converting.
Hocking added a second try seven minutes later when he got on the end of a kick ahead, gathered the ball and dotted down, but he missed the subsequent conversion.
With the last kick of the first half, Hocking added a penalty to give Liskeard-Looe a 15-0 lead.
Torrington refused to give up and fought for all their worth in the second half.
It took until around the 70th minute for Liskeard to finally wrap up the win.
Another kick ahead landed in Torrie's 22, and home centre Andy Sheer just beat team-mate Ryan Morris to the chase to claim the try.
Liskeard-Looe enjoyed more success on Wednesday night, when they beat Tavistock 2nd XV in the Lockie Cup final at Devonport Services' Rectory ground in Plymouth.
