Lions Club members who have given decades of service to their communities were recognised during a social evening at Minions.

Liskeard Lions Club presented long service awards to six members, including John Goldsworthy, who has been part of the organisation since it was founded in the town 45 years ago.

Pictured from left at the Cheesewring Inn are current Liskeard Lions president Philip Stephens, Derek Gillbard (15 years’ service), Terry Sully (35 years), Allan Parsons (40 years), Mike O’Leary (10 years) and Martin Symonds (10 years), with founder member of Liskeard Lions John Goldsworthy in the centre foreground.

We have the full programme for Liskeard Lions’ Liskeard Carnival in the new print edition of the Cornish Times, on sale in the morning.
