LIB not heaven-sent

Mrs Maureen Spencer and RA Dodd (July 9) have a different perspective on parking matters. A great pity that they failed to get their facts right.

Although Looe in Bloom, do perform many miracles, it is beyond our powers to elevate anyone to 'Godlike status'.

When a public servant, even a car park attendant, gets it wrong, abuses his power and over-reacts, their conduct should not be endorsed but corrected so that a more reasonable attitude prevails in the future.

What Looe In Bloom need is help and support. not obstruction and unnecessarily aggressive bureaucracy.

On July 22 and 23, LIB are holding their annual exhibition in the Guildhall.

I hope that they will both come along and offer their help to try to keep this lovely town of ours looking good.

They, like me, will not get any perks, or medals, but they might get a cup of tea

We can certainly find them a job, watering, weeding and, at the end of the season, taking down nearly 400 flower boxes, cleaning and storing them ready for Looe In Bloom 2000.
