Many of God's children from all over the country assembled as one family at Dupath Farm, Callington, to witness God's creation in its full glory culminating in the spectacular Total Eclipse of the sun.
Among those who came was an elderly gentleman from Lancashire who had witnessed the last eclipse in 1928.
As Londoners leaving the hustle and bustle of life in the big city, we came seeking and finding spiritual and physical uplifting, and this was achieved with abundance.
What memories we take with us! The morning bible studies led by Pastor Brown of the Mustard Seed Church, The Joy of Y.W.A.M. (Youth With A Mission), a group of us young people from Holland entertaining us with song and dance. Bill Partington from United Christian Broadcasting. May his vision of obtaining a licence for unrestricted christian broadcasting on British Radio be granted.
The Eclipse day itself, starting with a Cornish breakfast, then witnessing the Total Eclipse.
The darkness, the cold, the silence, then back to light and the repeat of the 'dawn chorus'. and seeing the sheep arising from their premature sleep, scurrying down the hillside in search of another breakfast, then finally the warmth of the day returning. Lunch is served - a traditional Cornish Pasty followed by ice cream.
After lunch we assembled for a guided tour of Dupath Farm led by Farmer Peter, then back to the potato shed for Cornish Cream Tea.
Then the Finale - a Ram Roast supper served in the camp-field with musical accompaniment through the evening into the night.
What a Day!
What a Week!
Thank You!
