As a scientist I've been fascinated by the Cornish Times Evolution Debate and especially the contribution from the gentleman in the February 4 issue re: women having extra arms.

I'm afraid I can't actually offer a theory but someone somewhere must be working on it because they've already got our feet smaller so that we can get nearer the sink.

But I would urge your correspondent to have a care - the hand that rocks the cradle can rock the world so think what might happen if we had extra arms!
