I read with interest your letters regarding a need for a skate park i.e. Stacey Lozynski and Joe Saunders.
I speak for myself and probably many more who are totally fed up with the total lack of facilities there are for the youngsters of the town, and I'm sure Mr Young would be greatly pleased with reference to his column in last week's letters 'Millpool Area Needs Tidying Up'.
As a building would not only create jobs and income, and most of all a place for all skaters to go, but more importantly would take them off the roads and pavements where I'm sure an accident is only just around the corner.
I hope I speak for the elderly and disabled as well, as they have little or no chance to avoid the youths who show hardly any consideration whilst careering along the pavements and through the streets.
Let alone the possible damage to property and vehicles.
Do we really want Looe to end up like America's streets, where people are constantly dodging skaters, or can all the Council bodies put their heads together and come up with something.
I'm sure this would be greatly appreciated by all.
