WOW! What a terrific occasion the Liskeard Show was this year. Of course, the weather was wonderful, but the show itself was an absolute treasure trove of events, entertainments, stalls, animals, crafts, food and people. I think it was busier than ever with a steady stream of folks moving around the grounds buying, watching, laughing, learning, eating and talking. We ran a stand for the Rabbit Welfare Association, our first year exhibiting here, and were astounded at the number of people who stopped to tell us about their own rabbits. Loads of children drew rabbit pictures for us and bought the rabbity items from the stall. We were very impressed by the happy, lively atmosphere and we had a great time. The Bodmin Youth Jazz Band played nearby several times, a very talented group of musicians. We didn't get to see everything during the day because we were so busy ourselves but everyone we spoke to was having a wonderful time and was very enthusiastic about the show. Many thanks must go to all those who made the day such a success. Mrs Melhuish, the show secretary, and her helpers must have worked really hard for many months to pull together the organisation of so many events and exhibitors. Thank you all. We're already looking forward to next year!
