LISKEARD Tigers continued their superb run of results in Division Two of the Cornwall Netball League by seeing off Hayle's second string, 37-30, at Lux Park.
The home side came flying out of the blocks, going three goals up without reply, but Hayle started to find their feet to finish the quarter 10-7 down.
With Emma Dalton replacing Julia Eldridge in centre, the Tigers continued to stretch their advantage.
Vicki Hastings and Holly Lemon worked hard to keep the strong GA (goal attack) out of the circle, with Lucy Smale forcing the GS (goal shooter) into some long-range attempts.
Both Amie Hoskin and Sophie Hocking had a tough second half, but worked hard to extend Liskeard's lead to 30-18.
However, going into the last with a 12-goal cushion, Tigers nearly threw away all their hard work. Fortunately, though, they had already racked up enough points to win the game.
Said Liskeard captain Holly Lemon: 'I am really impressed with our overall performance.'
