A TWO-day event is being held in Liskeard to let young people and their families know what kind of activities are available after school at weekend and during holidays. Places to Go, Things To Do is being staged by Cornwall Out of Hours Learning, at Lux Park Leisure Centre on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10. The aim is for it to act as a showcase for the wide range of activities available in the Caradon area. Cornwall Out of Hours Learning is keen to contact anyone involved with youth activities in music, creative and performing arts, sports and leisure activities to invite them to take part. The marketplace will include taster sessions in a wide variety of sports and leisure activities, as well as displays and demonstrations from the providers. There will also be a soft play area for young children. 'We have already contacted a large number of local providers who are interested in taking part in this exciting event, but we are sure there are many more groups and individuals out there who would like to showcase their activities,' said Tanya Moore, Out of Hours Learning co-ordinator.
