Legendary composer, producer, arranger and guitarist, Nile Rodgers will be among the stars of the finale of BBC Music Day at the Eden Project in Cornwall on Friday, June 3.

BBC Music and the Eden Project have also announced that Izzy Bizu will join the headliners Duran Duran live at Eden, alongside Laura Mvula.

Rita Broe, Eden’s Marketing Director, said: ’What a delightful thing it will be to have Nile back at Eden as BBC Music Day Ambassador after his amazing show here a few years ago.  People still talk about it! Izzy Bizu will kick off an already fabulous line-up with style: it’ll be an unforgettable evening in Cornwall.’

BBC Music Day Ambassadors, and musical legends, Duran Duran, will headline the finale of BBC Music Day at the Eden Project, with the iconic Biomes providing the backdrop to the spectacular outdoor stage. They will be supported by Laura Mvula and Izzy Bizu.

The 6,000 capacity concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 as part of a four hour special hosted by Sara Cox from 8pm – midnight.

The concert will also feature in a BBC One special programme broadcast later that weekend. BBC One’s The One Show will also be coming live from the Eden Project in the build up to the concert.
