'Law and order' just words

With reference to the report on the front page of the Cornish Times dated July 2, in respect of 'Liskeard in bloom', what can one expect in this so-called 'age of enlightenment' when parents no longer correct their children, never mind teaching them discipline.

The natural progression, therefore, is that, without discipline in childhood, respect for property or people, when boys and girls reach their teens and so-called early adulthood, is non existent.

Law and Order - except in the bigger towns and cities - are merely 'funny words'.

It is also a fact of life, at present, that, even when incidents are witnessed, hose who see are too reluctant to come forward, either through fear of the consequences or because the police are either overworked or too blasé to deal with incidents such as these.
