Dobwalls made the long trek to play this cup tie against the North Devon Premier side.

From the start, although playing up the slope and into a strong breeze, the visitors took the game to their opponents and scored after only five minutes when a swift move involving several players was finished off by Glen Toms with a clinical finish.

Despite creating a number of chances the score remained the same at the break.

The home side pressed for an equaliser and came close on a couple of occasions when Martin Polatch was felled in the box by the home 'keeper Dobwalls extended the lead from the spot kick which was well struck by 'keeper Karl Roberts.

With the final whistle looming Polatch made it three, after a strong run by John Niblett found him in space, where he calmly placed the ball through a defender's legs to score.

The home side scored a consolation goal on the stroke of full time when a fine cross was headed home by an unmarked striker.

This was a good all round team performance by the Dobwalls outfit whose superior skill made all the difference on the day.

Steve Green narrowly pipped Mark Fielder for the man of the match award with a display of grit and determination over the full 90 minutes.
