PENSILVA were denied three crucial survival points by a last-minute equaliser from Foxhole's Dan Allen.

The visitors arrived with a weakened squad and feared the worst against their much-improved hosts.

Apart from the first 20 minutes or so, the home side dominated the exchanges, but the new faces in the Stars line-up performed well and Allen was superb marshalling the defence.

They took a 20th-minute lead through Glyn James, but Pensilva recovered from this and fought back to edge 2-1 ahead with good goals from Leighton Mitchell and Ashley Paramore. Pens could, and should, have extended their advantage but they missed several chances.

With time running out and the hosts expecting the three points, Allen struck with his stunner.

Pensilva will now need to dust themselves off and prepare for the visit of high-flying Torpoint tomorrow.
