Liskeard travelled to wind swept and fire blackened Bude Haven for this short-notice friendly. Both teams were glad of the opportunity to blow away the half term cobwebs before facing challenging league matches.
A revised line-up for Liskeard created a lot of chances in the opening minutes. A well executed short corner from Julia Woodman and Jackie Wray was finished off with an accurate shot on goal from E-J Smith, put the visitors ahead.
Sarah Brown 'let-up' with her own formidable style on the wing, backed up capably by Cheryl Pengelly.
Lou McCartney made the lead more comfortable with a very strong finish on goal from the edge of the circle. Bude pulled one goal back during the torrential, driving rain before the call of hot chocolate became too much to ignore!
Training sessions return to normal after the school holidays - boys Thursday 6 pm - girls Thursday 7 pm and Seniors Thursday 8 pm. All welcome.
