The school half term holiday marked a break in the league action so Callington took on superior opposition for a friendly match that wasn't.

Plym played experienced physical hockey, which was a baptism of fire for young Callington goalkeeper Jilly Edwards and back Syke Summers. Another young player, centre forward Rachel Batten made several good runs at the Plym defence but her shots were denied by a good defence backed up by an excellent display of goal keeping. A return to league action on Saturday sees Callington away to Mannamead.
