WITH the Enterprise fleet away, the Redwings took centre stage in Looe Bay on Saturday for their closest race of the season.

The gusty winds of the morning moderated early in the afternoon, allowing the safety crew to lay a suitable course.

Peter Kinver led the Redwing fleet from the start, although Des and Florence Hocking (in their first race of the season) gradually reeled them in and only lost by five seconds on the finishing line.
