Look out for Father Christmas if you’re coming into town to do your festive shopping - he’s set up his grotto in the town centre and will be there on Saturday!

“Santa is coming to Liskeard and will be in the high street to meet children on December 4 and again on December 11, between 2-4pm,” said chair of the Traders Association Lin Moore. “We’ve got a ‘Santa Search’ for children – have fun looking into all the shops and keep your eyes peeled for Father Christmas in his grotto!”

There’ll also be music and entertainment for families in Fore Street, Lin added.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everybody there.

“A massive thanks to the more than 20 people who’ve managed to put the lights display together, well done to all of them.”

Saturday will also be a day of free parking in Liskeard’s Cornwall Council car parks (along with other town car parks across the county) to encourage the Christmas shopper footfall.

Santa and his helpers will also be bringing good cheer at the Morrison’s store on December 4, 11 and 18 thanks to the Lions Club of Liskeard: you can see him between 10am-3pm on those days.
