Cornwall County Council, as the Local Education Authority, has confirmed to Liskeard Town Council that Liskeard Junior School will close from August 31, 2006. A new community primary school, with places for 420 boys and girls aged from four to 11, will open on the site in Old Road on September 1 next year.
