In this quarter final cup encounter Liskeard/Looe put on an impressive performance. Duncan Fraser was the first to score a try. Robert Hosken scored twice, his first try showed skilled running and the second was from a fortunate bounce at the back of the scrum. One try was converted by Phil Bennett.
Jamie Robbins was the player at the bottom of the pile when the ball went blind of the ruck for the fourth try. Sam Hocking ran from his own 22, past a few Newquay players to score the last of the first half tries.
In the second half newcomer Paul Caers scored a try by winding his way through under the posts. Bennett landed the extras.
Having scored after receiving the ball from the back of the scrum James Chapman added a second after good work by the back row. Newquay replied with a converted try but Sheer showed his speed when he scored the last try of this quarter final. Hocking converted.
