The 10th anniversary year of my Swim for Life Swim Challenge has one remaining challenge and I am delighted that John Barnes has joined me in this Challenge. So far, your readers have made this a very special year.
The next Swim Challenge is the Gold Swim Challenges which run from November 1 to 30.
Aimed at all abilities of swimmer, the challenges start at 50 seconds; 50 minutes; 50 hours; 50 widths; 50 lengths; 50 kilometres.
You go along to your local pool and swim the challenge you choose in one or several attempts throughout the month of November. You could also swim with friends or work colleagues and enter as a team.
As well as helping improve your own health and fitness, participants can raise funds for this year's main beneficiary, the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, Europe's leading cancer research organisation.
Its scientists and doctors rely on support from the general public and it is only with that support that they can continue to find new answers to cancer, so please help.
For more information about the Gold Swim Challenges, call the Action Line (01382 451146) or pick up an entry form at your local pool.
There are over 2,000 participating pools in the UK.
Please take the plunge and support the 1999 Gold Swim Challenges - help yourself whilst helping others.
