Cardinham Woods will be the picturesque venue for ‘The Big Forest Find’ to be held on Saturday, June 15.

The event will explore everything wildlife-related where visitors can learn more about the different species of birds, butterflies, reptiles and others that live in the mixed conifer and broadleaf forest.

Nature lovers can book on to expert-led guided walks or just turn up and take part in self-guided activities and family sessions with Badger Forest School and Westcountry Rivers Trust.

Places on guided walks are limited so booking is essential by contacting 0300 0675826 or [email protected].

The event is part of Forestry England’s celebration of 100 years of forestry.

Visitors to Cardinham can also download the free iNaturalist app to record the wildlife they spot helping Forestry England to better manage its forests for wildlife for generations to come.
