Launceston's start was disappointing allowing Wadebridge too much time on the ball. Wadebridge took the lead after 20 minutes when Ben Hayden headed home from Andy Green's cross. For Launceston Steve Jago and Sean Turner were having a good first half and Paul Luscombe was solid in defence. When Wadebridge did break through they found Pete West in excellent form and he produced a brilliant tip over to deny Andy Green a second goal.
The second half was an improved effort as Launceston went in search of the equaliser, and a through ball from Gary Shirley left Steve Jags with a one on one with Phil Burgoyne the 'Bridges goalkeeper coming out on top. Wadebridge broke and then 2-0 up which really left Launceston with too much too do. Launceston's Paul Luscombe came out on top in just about every encounter he had, but man of the match went to Pete West who late on denied Tyson McFarlane. Launceston's man of the match was Pete West.
