Lowly St Austell made Liskeard battle hard for the points at Lux Park on Wednesday and it was not until the 76th minutes that the Blues finally quashed the visitors challenge with a second goal.
Jason Powell was the Blues hero with both home goals. He hit his first on the half hour after playmaker Graham Macmillan's right wing centre was met at the far post by Dean Tongue and his downward header was swept home from six yards by the inform Powell.
And Macmillan also had a hand in the second goal forcing a penalty which Powell duly tucked away.
