Once again, Callington battled well against their high riding opposition but paid the price for their lack of finishing as the visitors took charge in the second half.
Without their regular keeper Andy Brenton, who injured his hand playing for Plymouth Argyle in the week. Town called upon reserve keeper Wayne Wormald to fill the breach. In addition they introduced new striker, 19 year old Kevin Russell who had signed from Tavistock.
The first period was an even affair with both sides struggling to cope in the wet and windy conditions.
But, with just two minutes gone of the second half, and with Callington seemingly still in the dressing room, Millbrook hit the home side with two goals to effectively kill of the game. Firstly, Mark Crowley capitalised on a defensive error to slide the ball past Wormald, and then 60 seconds later Paul Mildon converted a through ball from Wayne Tregenza.
Late on, Russell converted a twice taken penalty kick to reduce the arrears but, as the home side chased the equaliser, Millbrook broke and when Lee Cansfield was upended in the box, he cooly converted the spot kick to secure the points.
