The son of legendary giant of jazz music Dave Brubeck, Darius Brubeck, brings his Quartet to Calstock Arts on Thursday, June 16.

Darius is an accomplished musician in his own right and is actually a Fullbright Scholar of Jazz Studies.

Playing to consistently sold-out houses at regional festivals and clubs, including London’s Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express and 606 Jazz Clubs, the London-based Quartet’s acoustic sound is melodic, spontaneous and rhythmically exciting.

The Quartet will perform some of Darius’ own compositions mixed with jazz standards and some of his father’s music. He is joined by Dave O’Higgins, on sax, who is no stranger to Calstock Arts as well as being a musician of international standing who has played with the very best.
