Paintings, prints and the ‘warmest of Christmas cheer’ are promised as artist Jo March stages her winter exhibition in Liskeard.

The show at Stuart House will run tomorrow (Thursday) from 6 - 8.30pm, Friday from 10am - 3pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm.

Jo grew up in Darite, graduated with first class honours in History from the University of Sheffield, and returned to the pull of Cornwall, beginning her career as a self taught professional artist.

She says that her upbringing has been a strong influence on her choice of subject, and on the depiction of landscape in her paintings. She has an abiding fascination with the eccentricities which exist just below the surface of rural life and in particular the characters that she observed in Cornwall whilst growing up.
