Preparations for Liskeard’s Cornish Christmas and Lights Up are getting started - and people in the town are being invited to find out how they can get involved.

A discovery evening for Nadelik Lyskerrys will be held tomorrow (October 7) from 6-8pm at the Liskerrett Centre.

The event will let businesses, traders, and groups such as choirs find out more about what is planned in the run up to the Lights Up parade on December 1.

Tea and cake as well as the chance to learn some festive phrases in Cornish will be provided during the discovery evening.

People can register their interest by emailing [email protected], or just turn up on the evening, said the Town Council.

Activities planned for Nadelik Lyskerrys include a Christmas feast, a children’s expedition and a Wild Hunt around the pubs of the town.
