BISHOP Cornish School have recently received a plaque from the Investors in People Standard following an OFSTED report early this year which highlighted the 'high standards and excellent ethos' of the school. The Investors in People organisation is designed to support and encourage the performance and development of people within a business or school. 'The Investors is People recognition is something that we are all extremely proud of,' said Anne Melling, a member of the teaching staff at Bishop Cornish. 'As a school, you spend a great deal of time paying attention to the needs of your pupils. The Investors in People process has allowed us to step back and concentrate on the development needs of our staff, helping us to create an even better environment for learning.' Bishop Cornish were also featured on the front page of a flyer released by the Investors in People Organisation which described the school as in 'the Premier League' following it's 'continual commitment to school development' leading to an 'across-the-board improvement in all Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 results.'
