Beach-goers are being warned to tread carefully after eight Portuguese man o'war were washed up at Whitsand Bay.
A photographer came across the creatures, which carry a nasty sting in their tentacles, while on an evening walk.
Jessica Manford, 26, had been walking along Tregantle Beach with Donald Mann, 38, when she spotted the creatures, which are often mistaken for jellyfish.
