- There is a setback for a housing scheme in Liskeard as developer Midas has gone into administration at the cost of hundreds of jobs across its seven offices in South West England and Wales, but councillor for the town Nick Craker is hopeful the the Liskeard scheme will go ahead as Cornwall Council is working to find a solution.
- A sprightly 102-year-old woman in Torpoint has celebrated her birthday surrounded by members of her family, the town mayor and 500 cards sent to her by well-wishers. She also shares with us her recipe for a long life - and she should know as her Millbrook publican father also lived to the age of 102!
- A plasterer from Bathpool is to walk 16 miles on stilts to help the fundraising appeal for a new Looe inshore lifeboat.
