LISKEARD-LOOE'S impressive home form continues as Newquay became the latest side to return from Lux Park on the wrong side of the result, going down 23-8 in the Tribute Cornwall and Devon League.

In fact, only League leaders Hayle have got the better of the Lions on their home pitch so far this season.

The hosts always looked likely victors an impressive start from which Newquay never quite recovered.

Two early Kieran Murcheson penalties got the home side off the mark, before full-back Kieran Underhill grabbed the opening try on 15 minutes, touching down for Murcheson to convert.

Newquay clawed some points back through a Sam Cullen penalty before half-time, but Murcheson responded in kind after the interval for the hosts.
