RECENTLY, my husband unknowingly dropped his wallet in the market car park in Liskeard and it was some hours before this was realised.
A state of panic ensued, phoning and visiting ports of call, followed by a tip to Liskeard Police Station, only to find that a very honest and thoughtful gentleman had handed it in.
We duly phoned to thank this person and offer a reward, which was politely declined – a gift is on its way.
To hand in a wallet or personal item proved that despite all the bad news we read and hear about, there are truly nice people within our society.
Sadly we don't get to hear about them often enough.
This gentleman (of St Cleer) knows who he is and again we thank him so very much.
