Success to report from Liskeard and Looe Hockey Club's newly formed junior section. Their U-13 boys beat off competition from teams from Truro HC, Penzance HC and St Austell. They went on to represent the County in the Western Regional final at Millfield, Somerset on 19th March.

Playing controlled and enthusiastic hockey against more experienced sides, the Liskeard lads were commended on their sportsmanlike behaviour throughout the tournament.

The Club would like to extend their thanks to the parents for their support. Congratulations to Philip Shrubshall (capt), Adam and Tom Hutchins, Tom Jefferies, William Woodman, Mark Queen, Richard Fergus, Ben Morris, Philip Oxenham and Mat Berry.

Since the construction of an Astro-Grass pitch in Liskeard in 1998, Liskeard and Looe Hockey Club junior and youth interest has grown beyond expectations with over 50 twelve to eighteen-year-olds now registered and playing regularly.
